Zusammenfassung

Die Analyse inner- und zwischenstaatlich ausgehandelter sozio-technischer Zukunftsvorstellungen zur kommerziellen Nutzung des Weltraums hilft bei der Erklärung politischer Positionen mit Blick auf diese ebenso, wie bei der Erklärung der Entwicklung technischer Artefakte. Während die Vorstellungen verschiedener Raumfahrakteure in den USA in einem konstruktiven Spannungsverhältnis stehen und sich wechselseitig unterstützen, ist in Deutschland ein diffuses, meist konfliktäres und damit blockierendes Verhältnis zu beobachten. Diese Spaltung wird durch eine globale Wirkung US-amerikanischer Zukunftsvorstellungen auf nationale Akteure in Deutschland noch weiter verstärkt. Zudem wird dadurch eine hegemoniale Ordnung kommerzieller Weltraumaktivitäten zu Ungunsten Deutschlands zunehmend wahrscheinlicher.
